Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. No chance of getting bored in Colorado if you like the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is great on Rio Grande, and you might also want to pay a visit to San Luis Pass if you're here at Skyline Trail.

at Antlers Rio Grande Lodge, and Mountain Views RV Resort is a good campground nearby. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Skyline Trail temperatures are generally in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in
| the 30's with temperatures at Skyline Trail dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
Skyline Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and it sure is a nice trail. Skyline Trail gets very little rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is usually the driest month.
