| | South Fork Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and when you hike it you're always having a good time. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Colorado. South Fork Trail ordinarily gets a large amount of rain; March is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month is June. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. South Fork Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Mix Lake Campground is a nice local campground, and while you're here why not visit Canon Verde.
There are some delightful |
whitewater spots on Conejos River. A delightful place to camp here at South Fork Trail is Conejos Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio de los Pinos.

| Trail in Conejos County, Colorado is a perfect place for getting out. There are many hiking trails in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, it's a great hiking area. During the summertime highs here at South Fork Trail reach the 60's; the overnight is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to South Fork Trail.
