Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Star Trail in Gunnison County, Colorado is a really good place to spend some time. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Star Trail temperatures are regularly in the 70's with night lows in the 30's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Star Trail.
In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Fork, |
and camping is available at Mosca Campground. Not much rainfall falls here at Star Trail; December is when you get the most snow here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A fine place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Star Trail is Taylor River, and camping at Dorchester Campground is always a wonderful experience.
