| | We all need to get out in nature once in a while and if you happen to be in Fremont County of Colorado, Stultz Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Stultz Trail; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Stultz Trail temperatures drop to the 20's. If you come at the right time of year, Grape Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and Stultz Trail is not far at all |
from Canon City.
Around Stultz Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August; January on the other hand is the driest. There's so much to do here at Stultz Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Oak Creek Campground is a good location
| for that, and a visit to Chute Park invigorates the spirit.
Stultz Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Royal Gorge/Canon City KOA is a delightful local campground; there are some good whitewater spots on Arkansas River. A long drive separates Canon City from Stultz Trail, but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. | |
