| and February is when it's the driest. A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Sugar Loaf Trail is Elk River. Through the days of summer highs here at Sugar Loaf Trail get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Sugar Loaf Trail.
