| | Finally, hiking time is here again, and Sugar Loaf Trail in Routt County, Colorado is just the place. Sugar Loaf Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. There are many hiking trails in the Park Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. It is very dried out here at Sugar Loaf Trail regularly; December is the wettest month with most snow, and February is the month with the least moisture.
If you came to camp Sawmill Creek Campground is a delightful place to do that; you |
can run the rapids of Elk River. In Colorado you never run out of outdoors fun. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Park Range. Camping at Freeman Campground is always a magnificent experience; places like Grizzley Park are tremendous to go to.
Through the long
| summer days at Sugar Loaf Trail highs are generally in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Sugar Loaf Trail dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Don't leave Sugar Loaf Trail without first paying a visit to Cold Spring.
