| | Gotta get out of the city man, and Sulfur Trail in Grand County, Colorado is just the place. This part of Colorado has a great deal of available outdoors activities. For the period of the summertime here at Sulfur Trail, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Sulfur Trail. Just can't get enough of the Park Range. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Williams Fork. |
There's so much to do here at Sulfur Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Creek Campground is a nice place for that. Sulfur Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Gilbert Campground is a good local campground, and unsurprisingly Kelly Creek is a beautiful
| stream that is worth a visit. Man, is there a lot of exciting things to do near Sulfur Trail. Take a side trip to Cub Creek, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Silverthorne. Hiking trails are all over the Park Range, it's a great hiking area. Sulfur Trail is a long drive away from Silverthorne but it's one of those places where hiking is great. Sulfur Trail is typically a relatively arid spot; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Colorado River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Sylvan Dam has tremendous water scenery. | |
