Telephone Trail
| | Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and if you happen to be in Mesa County of Colorado, Telephone Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. In the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails, it's a great hiking area. A long drive separates Grand Junction from Telephone Trail, but it sure is a nice trail. is always a great experience; if you come at the right time of year, Escalante Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. All year is a tremendous time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Telephone Trail
| is great enough to spend more than a day at, Divide Forks Campground is a great local campground. This is a popular place for people from Gateway. Summertime highs at Telephone Trail ordinarily tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Telephone Trail. Telephone Trail is a location that is quite dried out generally. The month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while June is typically the driest month. | |
