Traver Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Iron Spring Campground is a great local campground, and if you're here, you could stop by Al Wright Creek. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be.

wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Traver Trail. A tremendous spot like Traver Basin here at Traver Trail is too perfect to miss. There's so much to do here at Traver Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Antone Spring Campground
| is a great place for that.
A long drive separates Montrose from Traver Trail, but It's always fun to hike here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. San Miguel River is a wonderful whitewater spot in close proximity to Traver Trail, and you should undeniably dedicate some time to Horseshoe Basin while you're here at Traver Trail. A great location for whitewater paddling near Traver Trail is Escalante Creek; during your visit here you'll meet some people from Montrose for sure.
