If you like a trail that no one is on this is the one for you. The first mile is rough with cattle tracks. This is a quick and easily accessible trail to town if you want to just get away after work. We have hiked and biked it 4 times and every time we see tons of game. Enjoy your hike and take your friend, because you will not see anyone on the trail.

| | Whitewater Basin Trail is a long drive away from Grand Junction but what a great place for hiking it is. At Whitewater Basin Trail you don’t see much rain; October is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest.
Whitewater Basin Trail is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Jumbo Reservoir Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and at Guild Enlargement Dam in close proximity to Whitewater Basin Trail there are some out of the ordinary things to see.
