  While visiting this area in Colorado it's a good idea to go hiking too. Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Windy Pass Trail in Mineral County, Colorado is a really good place to spend some time. Because Windy Pass Trail is very far from civilization hiking it is great fun any time. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Some of the water nearby flows, like Wolf Creek, and if you came to camp Pagosa Riverside Campground is a splendid spot to do that.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Juan River - East Fork; get drenched
    paddling on Wolf Creek. Getting to Fall Creek from Windy Pass Trail is trouble-free. There's so much to do here at Windy Pass Trail that you need to camp here for a while, West Fork Campground is a fine location for that.
What a place this is for outdoors people. Through the
summer here at Windy Pass Trail, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Windy Pass Trail. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
A trip to Windy Pass is always fun, and Treasure Falls is an inspiring place to stop at while you're here. Windy Pass Trail is a location that is pretty dried up mostly; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; June is the month with the least moisture.
