  Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, if you happen to be in Litchfield County of Connecticut, Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Connecticut has lots of outdoors activities. Macedonia Brook State Park is a pleasant site to stretch your legs a bit, and at Hilltop Pond Dam near Appalachian National Scenic Trail there are some interesting things to see. Appalachian National Scenic Trail gets a normal amount of annual rain; through the month of June you get the most rain around
    here, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
There's so much to do here at Appalachian National Scenic Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Buck's Rock Camp is a perfect place for that; lots of folks from Torrington come here. Summer at Appalachian National Scenic
Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's while Appalachian National Scenic Trail nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Appalachian National Scenic Trail has to offer, you can camp at Taconic State Park Rudd Pond, and hey, Jack Brook is a glorious local stream.
Paddling on Housatonic River is so much fun; some of the water nearby flows, like Pond Mountain
 
Brook. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Get dripping wet paddling on Ten Mile River.
