| | Connecticut is a great outdoors state. Narragansett Trail is not very near Norwich-New London at all but it sure is a nice trail. Koistenen Brook is a stunning stream that is worth stopping at, and do stop at Billings Lake Dam since you're here. People from Norwich-New London love to come to Narragansett Trail; you can stay the night at Natures Campsites. This is such a fun river. A trip to Narragansett Trail wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Hopeville Pond State Park. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Narragansett Trail |
has to offer, you can camp at Highland Orchards Resort Park. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinebaug River, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a good place nearby. During the warm days
| of summer at Narragansett Trail highs are typically in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Narragansett Trail are in the 10's. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Dark Hollow Brook. Narragansett Trail gets a great deal of water; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here while June is usually the driest month.
