It's a magnificent idea to stop at Straitsville Brook, it's near Naugatuck Trail; a great site like West Rock Ridge State Park is too glorious to leave out. This is a great river. There's so much to do here at Naugatuck Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Branchbrook Campground is a delightful site for that, and during your tour here you'll meet some people |

The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Naugatuck Trail dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Naugatuck State Forest is a brilliant forest area close to Naugatuck Trail, also Mulberry Reservoir Dam is worth visiting since you're here.
