You don’t have to go far from Tunxis Trail to spot the water at New Britain Reservoir Dike, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Collinsville. This river has it all. Giant State Park is both good and wonderful. Tunxis Trail gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. There's so much to do here at Tunxis Trail that you need to camp here for a while,
| Black Rock State Park is a fine location for that; why not take a little trip to Cussgutter Brook if you're here. During the summer here at Tunxis Trail, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Tunxis Trail.
