All the water falling down from the sky makes Mounds Trail a wet location; most of the rain falls during March, and the driest month is October. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This is such a fun river. A glorious place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Mounds Trail is Apalachee River, and don't forget to take a pleasant little journey to Rose Creek. If you came for an overnight stay North Shore     Resort is a perfect place to camp, and camping is available at Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area. Summertime at Mounds Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Mounds Trail. Visit Falling Creek while you're here at Mounds Trail, and there's some exciting stuff to see at Upper Elders Dam next to Mounds Trail.
