You'll need more than a day to discover everything Ocmulgee River Trail has to offer, you can camp at L and D RV Park, and there's some flowing water close by, Lee Creek is a stream you can go to during your stay.
This river is so wonderful. Stay the night at Forsyth Koa Kampground, and get covered with water paddling on Little Towaliga
    River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Ocmulgee River Trail, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; night lows through the winter for Ocmulgee River Trail tend to be in the 30's.
Whitewater
paddling is good on Big Sandy Creek; of course Big Sandy Creek flows through this area. Ocmulgee River Trail is a wet spot that gets a lot of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
