| | A long drive separates Chattanooga from Skyuka Trail, but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Hiking in Georgia is such a great thing to do. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Middle Creek, and Skyuka Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Look Out Mountain Koa Kampground is a delightful local campground. Just can't get enough of Skyuka Trail. A tour to Skyuka Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Jackson Spring, and obviously Wauhatchie Branch flows through |
this vicinity.
Skyuka Trail generally gets a good deal of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Here at Skyuka Trail there are plenty of folks from Chattanooga, and Lookout Valley is a tremendous
| place to stop by. All through the summer highs here at Skyuka Trail get into the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Skyuka Trail through the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 20's. A short spree to Skyuka Spring is always worthwhile, and a nice place to camp here at Skyuka Trail is Racoon Mountain Campground.
A perfect location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Skyuka Trail is Rock Creek, and let's not forget Black Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. | |
