  In the Bitterroot Range you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Ally Point Trail is very far from the nearest big city and what a great place for hiking it is. All year is a nice time in the Bitterroot Range if you love the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend St. Joe River - North Fork. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Ally Point Trail has to offer, you can camp at Marble Creek Campground.
Idaho has lots of outdoors activities.
    A delightful place to check out next to Ally Point Trail is Ally Gulch, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Harvey Creek. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Ally Point Trail. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the winter
this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Ally Point Trail temperatures dip to the 20's.
Ally Point Trail gets a normal amount of rain; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here; the driest month of the year is July. There's so much to do here at Ally Point Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Huckleberry Flat Campground is a perfect place for that. Coming to this river is always a good idea. There are some great whitewater spots on St. Joe River - Marble Creek, and why not take a
 
little visit to Blackjack Creek while you're here.
