Because Buckhorn Trail is very far from civilization when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. In the Salmon River Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. |
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Buckhorn Trail. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Buckhorn Trail tend to be in the 10's. Yeah, come up here to the Salmon
| River Mountains for a pleasant time. Not far from Buckhorn Trail you obtain some great water scenery at Molony Dam, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Buckhorn Trail is Lake Fork Campground. Outdoors people generally like this part of Idaho. Buckhorn Trail is a good location of typical rain; most of the snow falls during January, and July is the month with the least moisture.
