  A visit to Idaho is not complete without some hiking. Hiking trails are all over the Salmon River Mountains, it's a great hiking area. An average amount of rain falls at Campbell Trail; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that snows the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Campbell Trail. Campbell Trail is in a quite desolate area and hiking it is great fun any time. Not far from Campbell Trail you get some delightful water scenery at Skein
    Lake Dam, and a tremendous site to camp here at Campbell Trail is Lake Cascade State Park.
Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Campbell Trail in Valley County, Idaho is just the place. A river like this is too good to miss. Get covered with water paddling on
Payette River - North Fork, and hey, Hazard Creek is a delightful local stream. So many fun things to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. Float down the rapids of Payette River - North Fork in a kayak, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Frech Creek.
Camping is available at Water's Edge RV Resort; do set aside some time for Stewarts Meadow if you're here at Campbell Trail. Summertime highs at Campbell Trail mostly tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Campbell Trail.
