| | Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Camptender Trail in Valley County, Idaho is such a great place. Poker Meadows Campground is a brilliant campground here, and while you're here at Camptender Trail it's a great idea to have a look at Mountain Meadow. Idaho is a great place for hikers.
Far from civilization you find Camptender Trail and it sure is a nice trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Camptender Trail is close to the national average; most of the snow falls through January, and July on the other |
hand is the driest. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Camptender Trail reach the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Camptender Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
| There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Bear Valley Creek offers some perfect whitewater; if you came for an overnight stay Bruce Meadows Campground is a splendid location to camp. This is such a fun river. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Salmon River - Middle Fork. In the Salmon River Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.
