  This part of Idaho has a great deal of available outdoors activities. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Salmon River Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains.
In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Johnson Creek; a pleasant journey to Caton Meadow is a great way to spend an afternoon. Many miles from the nearest city you have Caton Lake Trail and when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Caton Lake Trail is a good
    place of normal precipitation; during January this area sees the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
This is such a great river. Caton Lake Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Ice Hole Campground is a delightful local campground, and Wardenhoff
Meadows is a wonderful spot any time of year. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon River Mountains. If you came to camp Twin Bridges Campground is a magnificent place to do that, and Johnson Creek is a glorious whitewater spot close by. All through the summertime months here at Caton Lake Trail, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Caton Lake Trail.
