In the Salmon River Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where beautiful scenery awaits you. Because Crestline Trail is very far from civilization it is a really good trail. Hiking here in Idaho is a must.
It is very dried out here at Crestline Trail generally; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month is July. A good spot for whitewater paddling close to Crestline Trail is Payette River - North |

Fork; why not take a little visit to North Fork Pearl Creek while you're here. Yeah, come up here to the Salmon River Mountains for a great time. If you want to hit the beach, North Beach is in close proximity, and Crestline Trail is a pleasant location to camp, Upper Payette Campground

At Crestline Trail through the warm months highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's while Crestline Trail nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. This is such a great river. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Crestline Trail has to offer, you can camp at Upper Payette Lake Campground.
