There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Salmon River Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. High temperatures at Curtis Way all through the days of summer are in the 80's; the nighttime is fairly colder of course, regularly in the 40's. average; January is when you get the most snow here; July is when it's the driest. That right there is plenty of fun things already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. There's so much to do here at Curtis Way that you need to camp here for a while, South Fork
| Salmon River Campground is a brilliant place for that; Railroad Pass is also a fine place to discover. With so many outdoors activities available in Idaho you'll never get bored. Curtis Way is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Picnic Point Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River - South Fork. Curtis Way being so far away from the nearest city if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice.
