Deep Creek Trail
| | Finally, hiking time is here again, and Deep Creek Trail in Adams County, Idaho is a perfect place for getting out. If you are in Idaho during hiking season you have to go hiking. Deep Creek Trail is a trail quite far from Lewiston but it's one of those places where hiking is great. There are many hiking trails in the Wallowa Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Joes Gap is right next door to Deep Creek Trail and is a fine place, |
and a pleasant spree to Horse Pasture Basin is a nice way to spend an afternoon. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. Huckleberry Campground is a good campground nearby, and Six Lake Basin is a beautiful
| site any time of year. Black Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground, and of course Ritchie Gulch flows through this area. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Snake River. Deep Creek Trail is a location that is quite dry commonly. May is the wettest month with most rain; July is when it's the driest. All through the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 90's at Deep Creek Trail, and all through the night | |
|
it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Deep Creek Trail dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
