| | Hiking here in Idaho is a must. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Dollar Creek Way in Valley County, Idaho is just what you need. This is a really good river. A great location like Dollar Creek Meadow here at Dollar Creek Way is too great to miss.
There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Salmon River Mountains, it's a great hiking area. Throughout the summertime highs here at Dollar Creek Way get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down |
all through the wintertime temperatures at Dollar Creek Way sink into the 10's. Dollar Creek Way being so far away from the nearest city hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that.
There are some delightful whitewater spots on Salmon River - South
| Fork, and Dollar Creek Way is nice enough to spend more than a day at, South Fork Salmon River Campground is a nice local campground. These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - South Fork; if you came to camp Penny Spring Campground is a splendid location to do that. Dollar Creek Way is a good place of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July is when it's the driest.
