Getting to Horse Creek from Emigrant Trail is uncomplicated, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Greys River. Emigrant Trail is pretty waterless usually; the month with most of the rain is May, and July     is when it's the driest. Why not camp at Flat Creek Park if you're here at Emigrant Trail, and a delightful location is Mill Canyon.
