Goat Creek Trail

  This part of Idaho is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and if you happen to be in Valley County of Idaho, Goat Creek Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Many miles from the nearest city you have Goat Creek Trail and it's one of those places where hiking is great.
There are many hiking trails in the Salmon River Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of
    these mountains. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Salmon River, and don't forget to take a nice little journey to Eagan Creek. And that's not all the things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Get drenched paddling on Monumental
Creek; a pleasant spree to Goat Basin is a fine way to spend an afternoon. Why not visit nearby Goat Creek while you're here at Goat Creek Trail, and you could always look at Big Creek Gorge. Goat Creek Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Papoose Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground. There's so much to do here at Goat Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Elk Bar Campground is a great place for that. Summertime highs  
at Goat Creek Trail generally tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Goat Creek Trail through the winter usually drop into the 0's.
