  Goat Creek Trail being so far away from the nearest city when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Near Goat Creek Trail you find Big Creek Gorge which is a good location to stop by, and a quick spree to Goat Creek is certainly a good idea. If you are in Idaho during hiking season you have to go hiking.
Throughout the summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Goat Creek Trail while night lows are commonly
    in the 30's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Goat Creek Trail dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. A tour to Goat Basin rejuvenates the soul; if you come at the right time of year, Monumental Creek offers some
perfect whitewater. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Salmon River Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.

Camping at Elk Bar Campground is always a great experience; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Big Creek. Camping is available at Papoose Creek Campground, and it's a tremendous idea to visit Eagan Creek.
