The trail has not been maintained. I was able to hike it easily to the top 2 or 3 years ago. Not today...It was overgrown a lot and substantial deadfall. There are some burned spots also. That said, it's beautiful and a rigorous hike. Wear pants as the twigs will scratch you, and take insect repellant. Check your body for ticks also. The lookout is cool.

  In the Salmon River Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Camping is available at Buckhorn Campground, and you can run the rapids of Salmon River - South Fork. Miners Peak Trail is a good place of typical rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon River Mountains. Homedale Creek flows through this area, and there's whitewater on Salmon River - South Fork for all you
    adrenaline kick people. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Miners Peak Trail, and throughout the night it cools down to the 30's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Miners Peak Trail during
the wintertime frequently drop into the 0's. Miners Peak Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and what a great place for hiking it is.
A quick visit to South Fork Cougar Creek near Miners Peak Trail is a great idea, and camping at Buckhorn Bar Campground is always a great experience. Idaho is a great outdoors state.
You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and Miners Peak Trail in Valley County, Idaho is such a great place.
