Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Monumental Trail in Valley County, Idaho is just the place. Camping at Guard Station Campground is always a tremendous experience, and swing by West Fork Monumental Creek it's a nice place to stop at. This part of Idaho is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Hiking trails are all over the Salmon River Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Monumental Trail gets a     normal amount of annual rainfall; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Monumental Trail. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Monumental Trail. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is great! Paddling on Big Creek is so much fun, and do visit Holy Terror Creek if you're here at Monumental Trail.
