  Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and if you happen to be in Shoshone County of Idaho, Old Montana Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. For the period of the months of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Old Montana Trail; the night is fairly colder of course, usually in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Old Montana Trail dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Rutledge Creek is a stream that you may run into while here.
Idaho is a great
    outdoors state. In the Bitterroot Range there are many great hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Old Montana Trail is very far from the nearest big city and many people like to hike here to be close to nature.
Mowich Creek flows through
this area, and a trip to Spokane Meadows invigorates the spirit. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clearwater River - Little North Fork, and a good site to camp here at Old Montana Trail is Twin Creek Campground. Old Montana Trail gets a common amount of precipitation; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest.
So many enjoyable things to do in the Bitterroot Range, not enough time. If you come at the right time of year, St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon offers some good whitewater, and camping is available at Little North Fork Campground.
