| | Outdoors people generally like this part of Idaho. Because Onion Valley Trail is very far from civilization hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Camping at Packsaddle Campground is always a great experience. Onion Valley Trail gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the snow is December; July is the month with the least moisture. Hiking trails are all over the Salmon River Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Fork has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Onion Valley Trail in Boise County, Idaho is such a great place. During the summer months at Onion Valley Trail temperatures are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the
| dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while Onion Valley Trail nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. These mountains rock, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. A trip to Onion Valley is always fun; if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Payette River - Middle Fork.
