Porter Creek Trail

  It's a long drive from Mountain Home to Porter Creek Trail but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Idaho is a good place for outdoors people. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Porter Creek Trail in Valley County, Idaho is a perfect place for getting out.
There are many hiking trails in the Salmon River Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Crane Meadow is a tremendous place here at
    Porter Creek Trail; there are some good whitewater spots on Johnson Creek. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Salmon River Mountains. There's so much to do here at Porter Creek Trail
that you need to camp here for a while, Blue Point Campground is a good place for that. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Deadwood River. Porter Creek Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Deer Flat Campground is a glorious local campground. Through the days of summer highs here at Porter Creek Trail get into the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The cold days of the winter  
come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Porter Creek Trail drop into the 10's. Porter Creek Trail is frequently a relatively arid place. The month with most of the snow is January; July is the month with the least moisture.
