Pretty Gulch Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and it's one of those places where hiking is great. At Pretty Gulch Trail all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's; overnight lows at Pretty Gulch Trail through the winter ordinarily fall into the 0's.

Pretty Gulch Trail gets very little precipitation; during June this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. There are some good whitewater spots on Salmon River; camping at Pretty Gulch Trail is fine fun, Ebenezer Bar Campground is a fine local campground.
