Many miles from the nearest city you have Recompense Trail and hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Whitewater paddling is great on Payette River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Recompense Trail has to offer, you can camp at Hollywood Point Campground. Recompense Trail is frequently a relatively dried up location; most of the rain falls through November, and July is the month with the least moisture.
