| | There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Salmon River Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Rice Peak Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon River Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Deadwood River, and getting to Topnotch Creek from Rice Peak Trail is trouble-free.

Peak Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Deer Flat Campground is a good local campground. There's so much to do here at Rice Peak Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Blue Point Campground is a wonderful location for that. We all need to get out in nature
