| | There are many hiking trails in the Bitterroot Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. This river is so great. Outdoors people generally like this part of Idaho.
Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Shoshone County of Idaho, Ridge Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Ridge Trail is a very long way away from civilization and It's always fun to hike here. If you come at the right time of year, Couer d'Alene River - Big North Fork offers some nice whitewater, and camping at Kit Price Campground |
is always a tremendous experience.
Be careful coming to the Bitterroot Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Soar down the rapids of Coeur d'Alene River in a kayak, and a fine location to camp here at Ridge Trail is Sissons Campground. Summer at Ridge Trail arrives
| with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Ridge Trail overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Ridge Trail is a good place of typical rain; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture.
