Down By The Depot RV Park is a magnificent campground here. Coming to this river is always a good idea. If you came for
    an overnight stay Squaw Creek Campground is a great place to camp, and a brilliant place to have a look at is Hamilton Gulch. At Slate-Dunn Peak Trail through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures during the
winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Slate-Dunn Peak Trail.
But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Joe River - Marble Creek; why not take a little visit to Fritz Creek while you're here. St. Joe River - North Fork has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and some nearby water includes Hamilton Creek.
