  Slate-Dunn Peak Trail is very far from the nearest big city and hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Idaho has lots of outdoors activities. For the duration of the long summer days here at Slate-Dunn Peak Trail, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Slate-Dunn Peak Trail. There are many hiking trails in the Bitterroot Range where wonderful
    nature is waiting for you.
A wonderful place to camp here at Slate-Dunn Peak Trail is Down By The Depot RV Park. The yearly rainfall here at Slate-Dunn Peak Trail is about average; most of the snow falls during January while July is generally the driest month.
A visit to
Hamilton Gulch is always fun, and Hamilton Creek is in the vicinity of Slate-Dunn Peak Trail and is always a joy to stop by. St. Joe River - Marble Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by, and Slate-Dunn Peak Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Squaw Creek Campground is a delightful local campground. Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? if you happen to be in Shoshone County of Idaho, Slate-Dunn Peak Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Bitterroot Range. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on St. Joe River - North Fork, and some nearby water includes Fritz Creek.
