  There are many hiking trails in the Bitterroot Range where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Upper Declaration Trail in Bonner County, Idaho is a good choice. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Upper Declaration Trail, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Upper Declaration Trail temperatures descend to the 10's.
This river is so wonderful. Some of the water close
    by flows, like Declaration Creek; swing by Ellis Creek it's a tremendous location to visit. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bitterroot Range. If you come at the right time of year, Coeur d'Alene River offers some great whitewater; a great place to camp here at Upper Declaration
Trail is Independence Campground. There are some good whitewater spots on Coeur d'Alene River - Little North Fork, and why not camp at River Lake Trailer Resort while you're here at Upper Declaration Trail.
A long drive separates Coeur d'Alene from Upper Declaration Trail, but trails like these are great. Upper Declaration Trail gets a common amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November while July is frequently the driest month.
With so many outdoors activities available in Idaho you'll never get bored.
