  Idaho is a great outdoors state. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Bitterroot Range where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Because Wonderful Trail is very far from civilization hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. During the warm days of summer here at Wonderful Trail, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Wonderful
    Trail temperatures descend to the 10's.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon, and camping at Squaw Creek Campground is always a great experience.
And if that's not enough there's a load more fun stuff
to do in the Bitterroot Range. A good place to camp here at Wonderful Trail is Packsaddle Campground, and some nearby water includes Wonderful Creek. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, if you happen to be in Shoshone County of Idaho, Wonderful Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Bullion Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to; if you come at the right time of year, St. Joe River - North Fork offers some magnificent whitewater.
