Getting to Koomer Branch from Amphitheater Trail is simple, and if you would like a little side tour, try Pinch-Em Tight Gap. Take a little visit to Right Fork Chimney Top Creek while you're here at Amphitheater Trail, and you can run the rapids of Red River. Natural Bridge State Park is a great site to have a look at. Amphitheater Trail sees pretty high levels of rain. During July this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. Through  
the long summer days at Amphitheater Trail highs are frequently in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Amphitheater Trail.
