Buckskin Trail in Bath County, Kentucky is such a great place. Reynolds Hollow is a wonderful site to spend some time at, and Peter Cave Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, it's a great hiking area. The high level of rain makes Buckskin Trail a relatively wet site; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. So much enjoyable stuff to do here     in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, too glorious to be true. Paddling on Red River is so much fun; during your spree here you'll meet some people from Mount Sterling for sure. Camping is available at Buckskin Run Camper Park. A tremendous place to camp here at Buckskin Trail is The Outpost Campground; there's some flowing water nearby, Big Cave Run is a stream you can check out during your stay. It's a long drive from Mount Sterling to Buckskin Trail but it's one of those places where hiking is great. All through the summer here at Buckskin Trail, high temperatures typically get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows at Buckskin Trail all through the winter generally drop into the 10's.
