  In the Cumberland Plateau Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Kentucky is a great place for hikers. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Cliffside Trail in McCreary County, Kentucky is a perfect place for getting out.
This river is a great place to visit. Whitewater paddling is great on Bark Camp Creek, and you can stay the night at Twin Branch Shelter Campground. Cliffside Trail is a trail quite far from Corbin but hiking it is great fun any time. There's no way anyone
    can get bored here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Noes Breakwater is wonderful and it's near Cliffside Trail. There's so much to do here at Cliffside Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Sawyer Campground is a splendid site for that.
Cliffside Trail is a wet
place that gets much precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while October is typically the driest month. Upper Twin Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and Cold Spring Hollow is also a nice place to explore. So much cool stuff to do here at Cliffside Trail, too great to be true. If you're visiting Cliffside Trail from Corbin, you won't be the only one.
Get dripping wet paddling on Laurel River; let's not forget Lower Twin Branch which is a stream that you may come across while
 
you're here. Summer at Cliffside Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's while Cliffside Trail night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
