Get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Cumberland River - Little
    South Fork, and do explore Turkey Branch since you're here at Deer Loop. Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you came to camp Charit Creek Campground is a perfect site to do that, and you can run the rapids of Cumberland River -
Big South Fork. It's a long drive from Somerset to Deer Loop but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person.
Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Deer Loop in McCreary County, Kentucky is just the place. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Buffalo Branch. Through the days of summer highs here at Deer Loop reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime
 
at Deer Loop temperatures sink to the 20's.
