There are many hiking trails in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? Hog Pen Trail in Bath County, Kentucky is just the place.
Why not have a look at nearby Peter Cave Run if you're here at Hog Pen Trail. Summertime highs at Hog Pen Trail typically tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink
    down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Hog Pen Trail temperatures drop to the 10's.
This river is so wonderful. During your tour to Hog Pen Trail you'll meet some people from Mount Sterling for sure. You'll need
more than a day to discover everything Hog Pen Trail has to offer, you can camp at The Outpost Campground. There's so much to do here at Hog Pen Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Buckskin Run Camper Park is a brilliant site for that, and Reynolds Hollow is definitely a brilliant spot to visit. So many enjoyable things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just mind-boggling. If you're here at Hog Pen Trail, you could check out Graveyard Branch, and float down the rapids of Red River in a kayak.
Hog Pen Trail is a reasonably wet place mostly with lots of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest.
