  There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Laurel Creek Trail in McCreary County, Kentucky is a perfect place for getting out. That right there is heaps of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has it all. Camping is available at Eagle Falls Resort, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Roaring Paunch River. If you came for an overnight stay Star Creek
    Shelter Campground is a good site to camp, and do stop by Bridge Fork since you're here at Laurel Creek Trail.
During the warm months at Laurel Creek Trail temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs through
the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Laurel Creek Trail are in the 20's. Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is a tremendous place close to Laurel Creek Trail.
While visiting this area in Kentucky it's a good idea to go hiking too. Elisha Branch is a perfect place to have a look at, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Cumberland River. Pretty far from Corbin you find Laurel Creek Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that.
Laurel Creek Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October meanwhile is the driest month.
