Reffits Branch is a stream that you may stumble upon while here, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Mount Sterling here. Wildcat Trail mostly gets a lot of precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is October.

There's so much to do here at Wildcat Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Middle Fork Campground is a splendid site for that, and paddling on Red River is so much fun. You'll have to go far from Mount Sterling to get to Wildcat Trail but it is a great escape from the
| city.
You truly must like the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Wildcat Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit; Wildcat Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Whittleton Campground is a brilliant local campground. For the period of the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Wildcat Trail. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Wildcat Trail.
