Dogwood Trail   A long drive separates Natchitoches from Dogwood Trail, but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. The wettest   month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and August is when it's the driest. At Dogwood Trail during the days of summer highs are in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
