| | County Road Trail is not very near Springfield at all but it is one of many great trails in this area. With so many outdoors activities available in Massachusetts you'll never get bored. County Road Trail is not far at all from Springfield; needless to say Sodom Brook flows through this area.
This river is a wonderful place to visit. Float down the rapids of Westfield River in a kayak, and let's not forget Pitcher Brook which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. County Road Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; August is the month that |

gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. All through the summer months here at County Road Trail, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's; the overnight is fairly colder of course, generally in the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 30's while County
| Road Trail night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Spend the day on the beach at Babbs Beach if you're here at County Road Trail, and The Gorge is a pleasant location to spend some time. Get soaked paddling on Little River; if you came to camp Sodom Mountain Campground is a great place to do that.
There's so much to do here at County Road Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Prospect Mountain Campground is a fine place for that; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to distinguish at Springfield Water Works Intake Dam near County Road Trail. | |
