If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream River, and camping at Chimney Pond Campground is always a brilliant experience.
Witherle Ravine is a delightful spot to explore near Abol Trail. Katahdin Falls is a pretty location to go to while you're at Abol Trail; a good place to camp here at Abol
    Trail is Roaring Brook Campground. Throughout the summertime at Abol Trail temperatures are usually in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter
at Abol Trail temperatures dip to the-10's.
Thoreau Spring is always fun to check out; whitewater paddling is great on Nesowadnehunk Stream. The annual rain here at Abol Trail is about average; most of the rain falls during July; February meanwhile is the driest month.
